Okay people--

My next art idea involves film negatives. Lots of film negatives. If you have any laying around that you no longer want, pleeeease donate them to me. They can be photos of everything and anything. I don't care if it's your grandma or your crotch. NEGATIVES! I need them.

Today kicked yesterday's ass. I love Fridays. Can't help it--they're wondeful. Despite the fact that I have a bunch of shit to do this weekend (ie Sunday night), I'm in an amazingly good mood. I have all the windows open while I blast good music. And the neighbor is mowing his lawn so my room smells grassy. Yum.

eat_toast_die called and she needs green shoes so I think I'm going shopping with her. I need to get some PJ pants for next week so yeah. I need cash though so I'll have to swindle some from la grandmere. I wish my mom would pay me my money like a good mom. Tsk tsk.

Yeah so uhm...that's about all. I had a really good day. Mmmhmm I did.

I've officially become a new-music-artist whore. I think it's a calling. So okay, go to these sites and download stuff because they rock and yeah. WOO!

-Better Propoganda: The site is down right now, but they have good stuff.

-Pure Volume: Really really good for up and coming artists. A huge selection to choose from with a lot of talented bands.

-Epitonic: I've already posted about this one, but it's very exciting to me. There are a few bands that are already popular (Radiohead, Modest Mouse, White Stripes), but they have more indie bands that aren't well known. Best for indie and electronic selections.

-Saddle-Creek Records: This is actually a record label started by one of my new favorite bands (Bright Eyes), who has signed a bunch of really awesome bands. They have a bunch of downloads and streams for your listening enjoyment.

-TonSpion: This site is entirely in German, but you can still figure it out with a little brain power (or a good translator). I signed up, but I don't think you have to. There are a bunch of genres--pop, rock, electronica, world, hip-hop/rap, etc. with a ton of good stuff. While the whole German thing might be aggrivating, they are working on an English site so you'll be set eventually. Also, most of the artists are what's popular in Europe as it is a European site. I tend to prefer European/UK music, so if you're like that too, TonSpion is excellent.

All of these sites have completely legal downloads, in case that's an issue. Anyway, if you're in need of new music, go check them out. :)
